Chatham County 

The General Primary / Nonpartisan Election will be held on May 19, 2026, and the General Election will be held on November 3, 2026.

Qualifying for both PARTISAN (for example, Board of Elections) and NONPARTISAN (e.g., school board) POSITIONS will begin Monday, March 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and end on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 12 noon.
Partisan Positions

Qualifying for Democratic Candidates will be conducted at:

We will be available in person at the Bull Street address on:

Monday morning, March 2, from 9 am to 1 pm,

Thursday afternoon, March 5, from 1 pm to 5 pm, and

Friday morning, March 6, from 9 am to 12 noon.

 

You can also call the DPCC at (912) 272-7972 to schedule an appointment for any other time during the week.

 

Nonpartisan Positions

All registered voters with residence in Chatham County completing a Democratic Party of Chatham County declaration shall, upon voter verification, be recognized as a member of the Democratic Party of Chatham County.

Members of the Democratic Party of Chatham County shall advise the Chatham County Democratic Committee through their elected District representatives. Party members are the electorate for the Chatham County Democratic Committee. The Chatham County Democratic Committee, located in Savannah, is one of 159 County Committees and the only chartered Committee in Chatham County by the Democratic Party of Georgia. The Committee is the primary contact between the Democratic Electorate and the State Democratic Party. There are sixty-four members of the Committee.
